The Sensex at the Bombay Stock Exchange rose 174 points, or or 1.1 percent, to 16,097, in opening trade, today. The markets rose on fresh capital inflows by foreign funds, driven by a firm trend in other Asian bourses, amid expectations of positive IIP data. Gaining further, the Sensex stood 230 points, or 1.5 percent in the green, at 16,152, a short while ago.Stock markets in China, Hong Kong, South Korea and Singapore were up by between 0.2 percent and 1.8 percent.
