The Sensex at the Bombay stock Exchange rose 152 points, or 0.9 per cent, to 16,182, in early trade, today, on fresh buying by funds and retail investors, amid firm Asian bourses. Later, the Sensex trimmed its gains, and stood 77 points, or 0.5 percent in the green, at 16,107 in afternoon deals a short while ago.
