The Sensex at the Bombay stock Exchange rose 151 points, or 0.9 per cent, to 16,631 in early trade, today, on emergence of buying at prevailing lower levels by funds and retail investors. But later, the Sensex trimmed some of its gains, and stood 68 points, or 0.4 per cent in the green, at 16,548 in afternoon deals, a short while ago. The 30-share Sensex had lost over 430 points in the previous two trading sessions.Other Asian markets in Japan, China, Hong Kong, Singapore, South Korea and Indonesia were down by between 0.2 percent and 0.9 percent, today, after China's trade figures disappointed. The US Dow Jones Industrial Average had slipped 0.8 per cent in yesterday's trade.
