The BSE benchmark Sensex was up by 139 points in noon trade today. The 30-share barometer was up by 139 points, or 0.82 per cent, to trade at 16,619. Similarly, the wide-based National Stock Exchange index Nifty was also up by nearly 50 points, or 0.99 per cent, to 5,024 points.In the Asian region, Japan's Nikkei up by 0.22 per cent, while Hong Kong's Hang Seng index was down marginally by 0.15 per cent. The US Dow Jones Industrial Average ended 0.75 per cent lower in yesterday's trade.
