The BSE benchmark index Sensex moved up by 136 points in trade today on profit- booking by speculators after recent gains, amid mixed trend at the Asian markets. The Sensex was at 17032.56, up 135.93 points. It has touched a high of 17,050.44 and a low of 16,799.63 today. The Nifty was at 5165.00 points, up 44.45 points. It has touched a high of 5,170.40 and a low of, 5,093.45 today. The BSE Midcap Index was up by 0.81 percent and the BSE Smallcap Index moved up by 0.76 percent.
