The BSE benchmark Sensex recovered by 132 points in early trade today on fresh buying by funds and retailers, ahead of industrial output data, amid a firming trend on the other Asian bourses. The 30-share barometer, which had lost 44 points in yesterday's session, rose by 132, or 0.77 per cent, to 17,332 points.The wide-based National Stock Exchange index Nifty also moved up by 38 points, or 0.73 per cent, to 5,265 points.In the Asian region, the Japan's Nikkei rose by 0.18 per cent, while the Hong Kong's Hang Seng index was up by 0.17 per cent in early trade today. The US Dow Jones Industrial Average ended 0.70 per cent higher in yesterday's trade.
