The Sensex at the Bombay Stock Exchange rose 111 points, or 0.7 percent, to 17,207, on heavy buying in IT stocks, and in line with rising European markets, today. The Sensex had declined over 400 points in the previous two trading sessions. The Nifty at the National Stock Exchange gained 22 points, or 0.4 percent, to 5,223.Stock markets in Japan, China, Hong Kong, South Korea and Singapore ended mixed.
