The equity market is maintaining its upward trend for the third day today, with BSE Sensex surging by more than 1.5 percent points at 29,428. It gained about 480 points in the afternoon trade a short while ago. The Nifty also recorded intra day high at 9,123 in the opening trade and was trading up by over 145 points at 9080 a short while ago.
