Sensex stands 29 pts in positive

Erasing initial losses ,the benchmark Sensex at the Bombay Stock Exchange stood 29 points up at 17,202 in the positive territory in the late morning deals today. Earlier the Sensex had declined by 118 points in early trade on sustained selling by funds and retailers, amid a weak trend on Asian bourses.On the similar lines, the broad-based National Stock Exchange index Nifty increases by 9.65 points to 5,233.35 in late morning deals.In the Asian region, Hong Kong's Hang Seng index fell by 1.23 per cent and Japan's Nikkei index by 1.33 per cent in morning trade today. The US Dow Jones Industrial Average ended 1.57 per cent lower in on Tuesday's trade.
