Sensex stands 210 pts in positive territory

The sensex at the Bombay Stock Exchange rose 46 points or 0.3 percent to 17, 463 in early trade this morning, on selective buying by funds. Later the Sensex gained considerably more ground and stood 210 points, or 1.2 per cent in positive territory, at 17526 in afternoon deals, a short while ago.But other regional market jin Japan, China, Singapore, South Korea and Hong Kong has pstedmodest losses of between 0.1 per cent and 0.7 percent , today, on concerns about china's slowing economy. The US dow Jones Industrial Average had lost 0.5 per cent overnight.
