Sensex stands 168 pts in negative zone

The Sensex at the Bombay Stock Exchange fell 106 points, or 0.6 per cent, to 17,360 in early trade, today, as investor sentiment remained weak.Later, in afternoon deals, the Sensex lost some more ground, and stood 168 points, or 1 percent in the negative zone, at 17,298, a short while ago. The 30-share Sensex had lost more than 450 points in the past two trading sessions.But other Asian markets in Japan, China, Hong Kong, Indonesia, Singapore and South Korea were up by upto 0.5 percent, today.
