Snapping a six-day losing streak, the Sensex at the Bombay Stock Exchange ended with a small gain of 17 points, or 0.1 per cent, at 16,307, on Thursday, amid a recovery in global stock markets. The Nifty at the National Stock Exchange rose 14 points, or 0.3 percent, to 4,867. The bourses in Japan, Hong Kong, Singapore, South Korea, and China bounced back between 0.3 percent and 2 percent, after the U.S. central bank's more upbeat economic assessment.
