Sensex slips 90 points in opening trade

The Bombay Stocks Exchange benchmark Sensex lost 90 points at 19,092 in the Friday morning trade today. Analysts said the loss in Sensex is due to mixed trend overseas and continued selling by funds and retail investors.In other markets in Asia, Japan's Nikkei lost 0.40 per cent while Hong Kong's Hang Seng index was up by 0.28 per cent cent in the morning trade today. In the US, Dow Jones Industrial Average ended 0.20 per cent higher in yesterday's trade.
