Falling for the second straight session, the Sensex at the Bombay Stock Exchange closed 232 points, or 1.2 percent lower, at 19,460, after volatile trade, on Wednesday. The Sensex slumped in a late sell-off, after media reports that the CBI had questioned top officials of LIC Housing Finance and Central Bank of India in connection with an alleged multi-crore, fake home loans scandal. The Nifty at the National Stock Exchange lost 69 points, or 1.2 percent, to 5,866.Stock markets in Japan, China, Hong Kong, Singapore and South Korea ended mixed.
