The Sensex at the Bombay Stock Exchange fell 84 points, or 0.4 per cent, to 19,652 in opening trade, this morning, as funds and investors sold stocks ahead of the Reserve Bank's credit policy announcement. Later, after the RBI's policy announcement, the Sensex lost considerably more ground, to stand 150 points, or 0.8 percent in negative territory, at 19,586 in afternoon trade, a short while ago. The Sensex had gained almost 450 points in the previous three trading sessions.But stock markets in China, Hong Kong, Taiwan and South Korea had gained between 0.1 percent and 1.8 percent, today. The US Dow Jones Industrial Average had ended 0.9 per cent higher in yesterday's trade.
