Sensex shot up by nearly 104 pts in early trade

The Bombay Stock Exchange benchmark Sensex on Wednesday shot up by nearly 104 points in early trade on higher capital inflows from foreign funds. The 30-share BSE Sensex rose by 103.69 points to 16,956 points in opening trade with oil and gas, IT, metals and auto sector stocks leading the rally. The BSE barometer had gained 159.91 points in Tuesday's trading.Similarly, the wide-based National Stock Exchange index Nifty moved up by 23 points to 5,029.
