Sensex shines, up 340 pts in noon trade

The Sensex at the Bombay Stock Exchange rose 192 points, or 1.2 per cent, to 15,709 in early trade, today, on buying by funds and retail investors, buoyed by firmness in the regional bourses.Afterwards the Sensex gathered further momentum, and stood a hefty 342 points, or 2.2 percent in positive territory, at 15,860 in afternoon deals.Other Asian markets in Hong Kong, Indonesia, Singapore, South Korea and Taiwan were up by between 1 percent and 2.5 percent, on signs of increased manufacturing output around the world.
