The Sensex at the Bombay Stock Exchange opened 105 points higher, at 17,983 on Wednesday morning, on renewed buying by investors. After paring its gains somewhat, the Sensex stood 57 points, or 0.3 percent in the green, at 17,935, a short while ago. Other Asian markets in Japan, Hong Kong, South Korea, China, Singapore and Taiwan were trading mixed.
