The Bombay Stock Exchange benchmark Sensex gained over 222 points in the opening trade on Monday. The sensex was trading at 20,206 up by over 161 points a short while ago. The gain in sensex is due to sustained capital inflows from foreign funds driven by firming global markets. In international markets, Hong Kong's Hang Seng index was up by 1.14 per cent, while Japan's Nikkei shed 0.90 per cent in early trade. The US Dow Jones Industrial Average ended 1.86 per cent higher in the previous session on Friday.
