The BSE benchmark Sensex sheds 192 points in the afternoon trade. It was trading at 17,483 points a shortwhile ago. It rose by over 82 points in early trade today. Similarly the wide-based National Stock Exchange Nifty index was down with 55 points at 5,324 points .
