Rising for the second straight day, the Sensex at the Bombay Stock Exchange closed 107 points, higher, at a fresh eight-week high of 17,490, today. The Nifty at the National Stock Exchange added 34 points, to 5,232.Stock markets in Japan, China, Hong Kong, Singapore, and South Korea rose between 1 percent and 2 percent.
