The Bombay Stock Exchange benchmark Sensex rose by about 120 points to 16931 in the afternoon trade at 1345 hrs. Similarly, Nifty of National Stocks exchange was trading flat at 5031, up by 34 points. Meanwhile, Hong Kong's index Hang Seng was up 1.75 per cent, while Japan's Nikkei rose by 0.70 per cent higher in the morning trade.
