The Sensex at the Bombay Stock Exchange gained 95 points, or 0.6 percent, to 16,739, today, on sustained FII buying, after some better than expected third quarter corporate results, and firm Asian markets. The Nifty at the National Stock Exchange rose 30 points, or 0.6 percent, to 5,049. Stock markets in Japan, China, Hong Kong, South Korea and Singapore gained between 0.8 percent and 1.8 percent, on encouraging jobs data from the US.
