Sensex rises 60 points in opening trade

The Sensex rose nearly 60 points higher in opening trade today as stocks of companies like Reliance Industries and Infosys staged a moderate recovery on emergence of buying by funds. The 30-share index, which had lost over 67 points in the previous two sessions, recovered by 60 points, or 0.34 per cent, to 17,500 points. Likewise, the broad-based National Stock Exchange index Nifty gained 15.20 points, or 0.29 per cent, to 5,251 points.
