The Sensex at the Bombay Stock Exchange declined 65 points, or 0.4 per cent, to 16,090 in early trade today on moderate selling pressure, triggered by weakness in the other Asian bourses. Later, the Sensex trimmed its losses slightly to stand 37 points or 0.2 per cent in the red at 16,118 in afternoon deals a short while ago.Other regional stock markets in Japan, China, Taiwan, Hong Kong, Singapore, Indonesia, and South Korea were down by between 0.8 per cent and 1.5 percent, after rating agency, Standard and Poor's cut the rating of nine European nations, sparking fresh worries about the euro zone debt crisis.
