Fresh buying in select counters, mainly realty, consumer durables, capital goods and power, helped the BSE benchmark Sensex recover from early losses to trade nearly 21 points higher vis-a-vis its previous close in early trade on Monday The 30-share Bombay Stock Exchange index resumed higher at 16,155 and hovered in a range between 16,237 and 16,057 before quoting at 16,162.57 at 1015 hours. However, the NSE's 50-share Nifty was down by 17.45 points, at 4,828. Major Asian stock markets lost at least 1 per cent last week as investors fretted about global growth prospects and awaited further developments in the euro-zone debt crisis.
