The Bombay Stock Exchange benchmark Sensex which rose by almost 118 points in opening trade today was trading 186 points up at 16,931 in afternoon trade.Similarly, the Nifty at the National Stock Exchange was trading 67 points up at 5099 points. In the Asian region, Hong Kong's Hang Seng Index was down by 0.10 per cent, while Japan's Nikkei Index shed 1.41 per cent in morning trade today. The US Dow Jones Industrial Average closed 0.94 per cent lower yesterday.
