The Bombay Stock Exchange benchmark Sensex rose over 78 points in the opening trade on Friday extending its winning streak for the third straight session. The 30-share index, which had gained over 267 points in the previous two sessions, rose by 0.42 per cent to 18,316 points in the first five minutes of trading. Similarly, the broad-based National Stock Exchange index Nifty climbed 0.48 per cent to 5,510 points.
