Sensex quoting up 98 points in late morning trade

The Sensex at the Bombay Stock Exchange trimmed its initial gains but was still quoted higher by 98 points inlate morning trade today on mild buying in consumer durable, capital goods, realty and refinery sectors despite selling in auto, metal and healthcare counters.The 30-share index, which recovered by almost 109 points in early trade, gained 98 points to trade at 20,327 when reports last came in. It had lost over 661 points in the previous two sessions. The National Stock Exchange index Nifty moved 31 points up, to trade at 6,030 Among other Asian markets, Hong Kong's Hang Seng index was up 0.52 per cent, while Japan's Nikkei gained 1.23 per cent in early trade today. The US Dow Jones Industrial Average ended at a new record high by gaining 0.69 per cent yesterday
