The BSE benchmark Sensex today trimmed its earlier losses but was still quoting down by 16 points to 19236 in late morning deals due to profit-booking in metal, refinery, auto, banking and FMCG sector stocks despite firm global advices. Sensex today fell by nearly almost 40 points to 19,212 in opening trade.The wide-based National Stock Exchange index Nifty also shed 11 points to 5,807.
