Domestic equities benchmark BSE Sensex plunged over 350 points this morning. The 30-share index slumped 360 points to 35,109 in early trade. The NSE Nifty too shed 112 points to 10,551.

Financial markets were closed yesterday on account of Christmas. The rupee gained against the US dollar, and was trading at 69.82 a dollar.
