The BSE benchmark Sensex today plunged 312 points to 19,749 in afternoon deals today. Earlier it fell nearly 85 points in early trade due to sustained selling by funds amid a weak trend in other Asian markets.Similarly, the wide-based National Stock Exchange index, Nifty, declined by nearly 102 points, to 5,991.
