The Sensex at the Bombay Stock Exchange plunged 212 points, or 1.1 per cent, to close at 19,242, today, on profit-booking by investors, ahead of the ending of the calendar year, amid weak Asian and European markets.The Nifty at the National Stock Exchange lost 69 points, or 1.2 percent, to 5,848.Stock markets in Japan, China, Hong Kong, South Korea and Singapore fell between 0.4 percent and 1 percent.
