The Bombay Stock Exchange benchmark Sensex gained over 62 points to 17,995 points in opening trade today.The wide-based National Stock Exchange index Nifty also went up by 20 points or 0.38 per cent to 5,382 points. The US Dow Jones Industrial Average had ended 0.64 per cent higher in the previous session. Hong Kong's Hang Seng index gained 0.19 per cent while Japan's Nikkei was up 0.98 per cent in the morning trade today.
