Sensex opens 79 points high in opening trade

The Sensex continued its rally from yesterday and opened 79 points high in the opening trade on good quarterly reports from the country's largest software firm Tata Consultancy Services. The 30-share index today rose by 0.39 per cent to 20,340 points on the back of rally in IT, tech and consumer durables sector stocks. The wide-based National Stock Exchange index Nifty moved up by 20 points, or 0.32 per cent to 6,121 points.
