The Bombay Stock Exchange benchmark Sensex opened higher by over 42 points to trade at 18,451 points in the first five minutes of trading. Similarly, the wide-based National stock Exchange Nifty index inched up by 3.75 points to 5,547.25 points. Brokers said investors and funds were buying heavyweight stocks available at attractive lower levels.
