The Sensex at the Bombay Stock Exchange rose a modest 27 points, or 0.1 per cent, to 19,741 in early trade, today, on sustained buying by funds. Later, the Sensex trimmed some of its intital gains, to stand just 18 points in the green, at 19,732 in afternoon deals, a short while ago. The Sensex had gained nearly 290 points in the last two trading sessions.Key stock indices in Hong Kong, South Korea, Singapore, Taiwan and Indonesia were trading mixed, today. But the US Dow Jones Industrial Average had zoomed 2.4 per cent in yesterday's trade, after the resolution of the fiscal cliff tangle .
