At the stock markets, after a positive opening, the Sensex at the Bombay Stock Exchange lost ground, and after moving between losses and gains, had climbed 42 points, to 32,466. The Nifty at the National Stock Exchange had added 10 points, to 10,163. Earlier in the morning, the Nifty had touched a new intra-day record high of 10,179. Other key Asian markets in China, Hong Kong, South Korea and Singapore had added between 0.1 percent and 0.6 percent. And at the forex market, the rupee had depreciated 5 paise, to 64.18 against the dollar in afternoon deals.
