Sensex losses more than 67 points in early trade

The BSE benchmark index Sensex losses more than 67 points in early trade today on sustained selling by funds, triggered by a weak trend on Asian bourses. The 30-share index, which had lost 238.11 points in the previous session, fell further by 67.19 points to 17.027.32. The wide-based National Stock Exchange index Nifty declined by 18.25 points to 5189.20. In Asia, the Hong Kong's Hang Seng index fell by 0.81 per cent, while Japan's Nikkei index was down by 1.45 per cent in early trade. The US Dow Jones Industrial Average ended 1.05 per cent lower in the previous session.
