The Sensex at the Bombay stock Exchange fell 74 points, or 0.5 per cent, to 16,346 in early trade, today, on renewed selling by funds and retail investors, ahead of industrial output data. Later, after the release of the industrial output numbers, the Sensex lost some more ground, and stood 113 points, or 0.7 per cent in negative territory, at 16,307 in afternoon deals, a short while ago. The 30-share Sensex had fallen almost 500 points in the previous three trading sessions.Other Asian markets in Japan, Hong Kong, China, Indonesia, Singapore, South Korea and Taiwan were down by between 0.3 percent and 1.5 percent, today, on concern that Europe's debt crisis may worsen. But the US Dow Jones Industrial Average had gained 0.2 per cent in yesterday's trade.
