The BSE benchmark Sensex lost by 48 points in the noon trade. The 30-share barometer which gained 65 points in early trade today, lost its early gain and was down by 48 points and was trading at 16, 245.The wide-based National Stock Exchange index Nifty was also down up by 20 points to 4,909.
