The Sensex at the Bombay Stock Exchange fell 157 points to 19,840 in early trade today. The fall was attributed to profit-booking by funds and retail investors after recent gains, amid a mixed trend in the Asian region. The 30-share index had rallied over 1,750 points in the previous four sessions.The Nifty at the National Stock Exchange also declined by 43 points to 5,854.In the Asian region, Hong Kong's Hang Seng index fell by 0.38 per cent, while Japan's Nikkei Index was up by 0.62 per cent in early trade.
