Sensex loses 103 pts; markets in red

The Sensex at the Bombay Stock Exchange fell 69 points, to 17,112, in opening trade, this morning, amid profit-booking and weak Asian markets. Losing further ground, the Sensex stood 103 points, or 0.6 percent in the red, at 17,077, a short while ago. The Nifty at the National Stock Exchange slipped 35 points, to 5,068.Stock markets in China, South Korea, Singapore, Indonesia, Hong Kong and Japan were down by between 0.5 percent and 2 percent.
