The BSE benchmark index Sensex todaykept its upward trend and was up by 145 points during noon trading. Earlier in the morning, Sensex rose over 103 points following emergence of buying atprevailing levels amid a firming trend overseas.The 30-share index, gain 42 more points and was up by 145 points, trading at 19,029 when reports last came in.In a similar fashion, wide-based National Stock Exchange index, Nifty, moved up by50 points, to 5,744.In the Asian region, Hong Kong's Hang Seng Index was up by 0.19 per cent, while Japan's Nikkei Index was being quoted 1.29 per cent higher in the morning trade today.
