The Sensex at the Bombay Stock Exchange opened 45 points higher, at 17,564, today. After giving up most of its initial gains, the Sensex stood 9 points in the green, at 17,528, a short while ago.Stock markets in Japan, Indonesia, South Korea, Singapore China and Taiwan were all modestly higher.
