Sensex in positive territory; trading at 17,189pts<br/>

The Sensex at the Bombay Stock Exchange, which rose by 70 points in early trade today, stood at 92 points in the positive territory in late morning deals at 17,189, when reports last came in. After losing more than 400 points in the past two sessions, the 30-share barometer rose by 70 points to 17,167 in opening trade today, with IT, consumer durables, realty and banking sectors leading the recovery. In a similar fashion, the wide-based National Stock Exchange index Nifty was trading 21 points in the green at 5,221. In Asian, Japan&apos;s Nikkei fell by 1.15 per cent, while Hong Kong&apos;s Hang Seng index shed 0.15 per cent in the morning trade today.
