Reversing initial gains, the Sensex at the Bombay Stock Exchange stood 113 points, or 0.6 percent in negative territory, at 18,734 in afternoon deals, a short while ago. Earlier in the morning, however, the Sensex had opened a marginal 18 points, or 0.1 per cent higher, at 18,865, on mild buying interest by investors. Other Asian markets in Japan, Hong Kong, Singapore, South Korea, Japan and Indonesia were down by between 0.1 percent and 0.8 percent today. The US dow Jones Industrial Average had ended 0.9 per cent lower in yesterday's trade.
