At the stock markets, both the Sensex and the Nifty have scaled fresh lifetime intra-day highs, today. So after hitting a record high of 32,132, the Sensex at the Bombay Stock Exchange trimmed its gains, but had still climbed 46 points, to 0.1 percent, to 32,066 a short while ago. Similarly, the Nifty at the National Stock Exchange touched a new peak, and after easing somewhat, had gained 18 points, to 9,905. And at the forex market, the rupee had strengthened 8 paise, to 64.37 against the dollar in afternoon deals.
