Giving up most of its intial gains, the Sensex at the Bombay Stock Exchange stood just 4 points in the positive zone, at 20,252, in afternoon trade, amid volatility, a short while ago. Earlier in the morning, however, the Sensex had climbed 54 points, or 0.3 percent, to 20,302 on continued foreign funds inflows, amid firm Asian bourses.Stock markets in China, Singapore, Indonesia and Japan had posted modest gains of upto 0.5 percent, today. But the US Dow Jones Industrial Average had ended 0.4 percent lower in yesterday's trade.
