The Sensex at the Bombay Stock Exchange rose 48 points, or 0.3 percent, to 18,910 in opening trade, this morning, on selective buying by investors. Later, after swinging between gains and losses, the Sensex stood 81 points, or 0.4 percent in positive territory, at 18,943 in afternoon deals, a short while ago.Stock markets in Japan, China, Taiwan, Singapore, and Hong Kong were trading mixed, today. The US Dow Jones Industrial Average had ended 0.2 per cent lower in yesterday's trade.
